At first we knew little about what to expect there, although we had heard about previous experiences which where all positive. When we arrived in Belgium we were immediately welcomed to the international group. During the first weekend we shared experiences and got to know different ideas and cultures, especially about the Belgian culture. We were given training in order to help us for see what we will encounter in the playground. The international volunteers where divided into five Belgian playgrounds. Two Maltese where staying in Halle and the other two where staying in Heverlee. Each had a different but positive experience. The weekends helped us to gain back some energy, visiting Belgium and sharing our experiences at the playground while getting to know each other. By the second week we felt part of the family of the playground.
Looking back this experience helped us in achieving greater goals on an international level and the true meaning of Don Bosco's pillars. We are looking forward to go back to Belgium and do this wonderful adventure once again.
